Meet the key team members
Heather has been at the Helm and the heart of our business since 2003. Prior to this she managed events at the Millennium Institute of Sport and Health with key events such as North Harbour Basketball team home games. As well as delivering corporate events, sporting events, fun runs and marathons. Heather is a key part to the business and now mostly looks after sales, strategy and admin. Her passion is overseeing the team creating events and looking after the office dog Roxy the Boxer.
Junior Event Manager
Sian has joined The Events Group as junior event manager after working on casual basis for the company over the last two years. She has completed her degree at AUT studying a Bachelor of Arts with a dual major in Event Management and Business Management.
For her placement Burton interned at Rhythm and Vines and Endeavour Live, which gave her insight to the festival side of the events industry.
Meredith started with The Events Group in 2005. Prior to this she worked at YMCA Camp Tockwogh in the USA in their summer camp & conference centre. Meredith has held a variety of positions at The Event Group, including being responsible for delivery of corporate conferences and Team Building programmes and custom events. She manages all areas of the business from initial client contact, onsite delivery of events, event styling and theming and managing day-to-day functions of the business. Meredith’s passion is taking an event from concept to delivery and making sure the clients objectives shine through.
Team Building & Operations Manager
Mike has been with The Events Group since 2017 . Prior to this he worked at Parkland Products for 14 years in a variety of roles through the company. He knows what it takes to make a team tick through his own experience in both playing and coaching football at an elite level, not to mention his many coaching badges. This, coupled with his positive and outgoing personality, makes him an ideal fit to manage our team building events. Mike’s passion is taking a client’s brand and culture and infusing it into team building events.
